§ 126-69. Use of art funds.

  • The art funds portion of any contract referred to in section 126-68 shall be disbursed for use in connection with such capital project as directed by the FCAC through its public art committee for the purposes of providing art in public places. Such art funds shall be used to provide works of art in, on, or near such new or renovated capital project, as appropriate, and in, on, or near existing public places owned, funded, or operated by Fulton County. In addition, such art funds may be used for:

    (1)

    The transportation, installation, protection, conservation, and maintenance of art in public places including, without limitation, costs of program administration, staff, insurance, security, conservation, restoration or other repair, framing, and maintenance of any works of art owned by or in the possession of the county;

    (2)

    Payment of any and all expenses associated with the borrowing of art works from other persons, entities, or institutions for exhibit in public places;

    (3)

    Payment of any and all expenses associated with the commissioning of art for public places including, without limitation, the preparation and dissemination of requests for proposals;

    (4)

    Payment of any and all expenses associated with the presenting, commissioning, and/or judging of exhibitions of art works to be presented in public places by the county, the FCAC or others; and

    (5)

    Payment of curatorial expenses, consulting fees and other professional fees or expenses incurred in the implementation of this art in public places division.
