§ 158-3. Public hearings for public projects.

The board of commissioners hereby establishes as its policy that prior to the acquisition of land or other initiative related to the construction of a public project in Fulton County, public hearings, including one public hearing before the board of commissioners, shall be conducted so as to receive public comment, concern and information pertaining to the impact of the proposed project on the surrounding community. The county manager is hereby directed to develop a written procedure to be presented to the board of commissioners within 30 days to implement this policy.
