§ 154-299. Executive secretary.

  • Subject to the Fulton County Personnel Regulations, the pension board is authorized to employ an executive secretary, who shall be the appointing authority for the pension office and other employees, and prescribe their duties and fix their salaries, which shall be payable from the pension fund hereby created. The executive secretary and such staff may be employed jointly by the pension board created for the administration of this division and the School Pension Board of Fulton County, and the board of trustees of the public safety employees' pension fund, and the general employees' pension fund of said county. The amount of salary of such individuals to be used as a basis for contributing or for measuring the amount of pension benefits payable under this division, shall be the combined salary paid to such individuals by all pension board or authorities contributing to the payment of such salaries; and the contribution to be made by such individuals to the pension board shall be measured by and based upon the total salary so paid, by any or all of the pension boards participating therein.
