§ 154-187. Compensation and expenses of board of trustees in the plan.

  • All expenses including, without limitation, expenses for legal, accounting, clerical, and other services as may be required in carrying out the provisions of the plan and trust, of the board of trustees and all expenses of the plan and trust shall be reimbursed or paid from the trust fund, if and to the extent that the employer does not pay such expenses. Trustees who are not employees or retirees of Fulton County shall receive a per diem allowance of $100.00 for each meeting of the board of trustees attended by such individual; provided, however, that if such meeting shall exceed four hours in length in any day, such trustees shall receive the sum of $300.00 for such meeting. Trustees elected to the board of trustees (trustee positions 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11) shall receive a per diem allowance of $25.00 in lieu of expenses for each meeting of the pension board attended. Such allowance shall not be considered additional county compensation. Trustees holding a position as trustee by virtue of the office held by them under county government, that is, the members of the Board of Commissioners of Fulton County, the Director of Finance of Fulton County and the County Manager of Fulton County, shall not receive any fee or compensation for services rendered to the plan and trust other than the salary and related fringe benefits paid by the employer to such individuals as an employee.
