Division 3. ART IN PUBLIC PLACES PROGRAM |
§ 126-66. Definitions.
For the purpose of this division, the following terms shall have the following meanings:
Art or works of art or art works means the objects resulting from the application of skill and taste to production of tangible objects, designs, and/or environments according to aesthetic principles including, but not limited to, paintings, sculptures, engravings, carvings, frescoes, mobiles, murals, collages, mosaics, statues, bas-reliefs, tapestries, photographs, and drawings.
Construction costs means the total costs of acquiring and constructing a capital project, including, without limitation, legal, architectural, engineering, and other professional fees, site work, contingency allowances, and change orders.
FCAC means the Fulton County Arts Council, or such other body as may be created by the board of commissioners from time to time for the purpose of advising or managing the support, presentation and maintenance of the county's art and/or art programs or for the purpose of performing the duties reserved to the FCAC hereunder.
Public art committee means the public art committee of the FCAC or such other similar committee of the FCAC as the FCAC or the Fulton County Commission may establish from time to time for purposes including performance of the duties reserved to the public art committee hereunder.
Public places means buildings, real property, or other facilities owned or operated by Fulton County.
Renovation means any construction or cosmetic change costing over $100,000.00 in manhours or supplies. This excludes regular maintenance of facilities such as painting, gutters, etc.
