Article I. IN GENERAL |
§ 118-1. Development policy; incentives; eligibility for assistance.
The Board of Commissioners of Fulton County shall adopt a policy whereby potential incentives are identified, evaluated, applied, and administered that promote development opportunities for Fulton County. Commercial, industrial and residential projects will be evaluated for the merits of offering development incentives on a case by case basis. In the interest of the economic welfare of the citizens of Fulton County, the benefit of the incentives offered must equal or exceed the predetermined cost to the county. This will be determined by a comprehensive evaluation of the project which includes an evaluation of its eligibility. In order to be eligible for incentives, each project must have a minimum cost-benefit ratio of 1:1. All exceptions are subject to review by the county manager. In addition to the results of the analysis of eligibility, the value of the incentive package offered to any business will also be based upon the company's commitment to hire residents of Fulton County.
