§ 106-3. Building permits—Issuance by director of department of inspections and permits.

  • (a)

    It shall likewise be the duty of the director of department of inspections and permits to issue permits for the erection of buildings, in accordance with the building code, and no building shall be begun or erected without the owner or builder thereof having first applied for and obtained his permit to erect the same.

    (b)

    No permit as required by the building code shall be issued until the fee prescribed in this section shall have been paid. Nor shall an amendment to a permit be approved until the additional fee, if any due to an increase in the estimated cost of the building or structure, shall have been paid.
