§ 58-223. Payment of funds collected by county tax commissioner to city treasurer; payment of Atlanta Board of Education; charges; statements to respective comptrollers.

  • (a)

    Except as provided in subsection (b) of this section, the tax collector or tax commissioner of Fulton County shall pay over to the Treasurer of the City of Atlanta all sums collected by him for said city not later than the second business day following the day of collection and at the same time furnish a statement of such collections to the comptroller of the City of Atlanta.

    (b)

    Except for any revenue used to repay any general obligation debt, the tax collector or tax commissioner of Fulton County shall pay over to the Atlanta Board of Education all revenues collected by him derived from ad valorem taxes for such board of education free from any charge except the direct cost of collecting such tax. The tax collector or tax commissioner of Fulton County shall pay such sums to the Atlanta Board of Education not later than the second business day following the day of collection and shall at the same time provide a statement of such collections to the comptroller of the Atlanta Board of Education.
