§ 58-36. Chief deputy; duties; appointment.

  • The Chief Deputy Tax Commissioner of Fulton County shall from time to time with respect to the office of tax commissioner have all of the rights and privileges, and be responsible for the same duties, as are provided by the act approved March 24, 1939 (1939 Ga. Laws, pages 565—569) [ch. 2, art. II, div. 2 hereof] for the chief deputies to the tax receiver and the tax collector of Fulton County. For each succeeding term, commencing January 1, 1957, and thereafter, the Tax Commissioner of Fulton County shall appoint his chief deputy and notify the Board of Commissioners of Fulton County, which chief deputy shall thereafter serve at the will and pleasure of the officer making the appointment, with the same responsibilities, rights and privileges as other chief deputies of Fulton County provided by said act approved March 24, 1939, (1939 Ga. Laws, pages 565—569).
