§ 46-42. County bond proceeds; use.

If, at any time the Fulton County garbage disposal system is discontinued as contemplated by this article, there shall remain in the possession of the county authorities any of the proceeds of bonds issued to finance the purchase of real or personal property, or the construction of incinerators or other improvements on real property, for such garbage disposal system, the board of commissioners, or other proper county officials, shall use such funds either:

(1)

To carry out the purposes for which such bonds were issued as far as the same may be done within the authority of this article; or

(2)

To retire such bonds, pay interest thereon, or otherwise reduce such bonded indebtedness.
