§ 14-36. Terms of members; resignation or removal.

  • Each member of the board shall serve for a term of two years and until a successor is appointed and qualified, except in the event of resignation or removal as provided in section 14-37 of this article. Each member shall be eligible to succeed himself and shall have the right to resign at any time by giving written notice of resignation to the appointing authority. Each member shall be subject to removal from the board at any time, for cause after notice and hearing, in the same manner and by the same authority as provided for removal of registrars. The members of the Board of Registration and Elections of Fulton County holding office on the effective date of this article shall continue to hold office until their successors are appointed in accordance with the provisions of this article.
