§ 10-312. Chief deputy clerk; appointment; duties; compensation.

  • On and after the effective date of this division, there shall be a chief deputy clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County. The chief deputy clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County shall have a term of office concurrent with that of the Clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County. The chief deputy clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County shall be appointed by the clerk of said court, by and with the consent and approval of a majority of the judges of the Criminal Court of Fulton County. Whenever a vacancy shall exist in the office of the Clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County, the chief deputy clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County shall become the acting Clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County, and shall exercise all of the authority, powers and shall perform all the duties of said office until a Clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County shall have been elected in the manner provided for by law. The chief deputy clerk of the Criminal Court of Fulton County shall receive as compensation for such services a salary of $12,500.00 per year, payable in equal monthly installments, subject to be increased or decreased by the governing authority of Fulton County.
