§ 82-190. Fee rate schedules.

Latest version.
  • (a)

The fee rate schedules are developed and administratively adopted from the department of public works. Such schedules shall be based on the best estimates available to the department of public works of average sewage flow contribution generated by various land uses and shall be used to directly calculate fees and charges.

    (b)

If there is an application to provide a sewer to a type of land use not included in the fee rate schedule, the county manager shall cause a fee to be established, based on flow generation rates found acceptable by the county.

    (c)

Whenever sewerage extension fees are based upon an assumed discharge flow, either the county, at its option, or the developer, at its option, may recalculate the fee based on actual water usage or measured sewer discharge after six months of actual experience. In this event, the owner shall be entitled to receive as a refund, or shall be required to pay as an additional charge, the difference between the initial charge as estimated by the county and the recalculated charge based on actual usage.
