§ 82-151. Special authorization payment plan.

  • In situations where the director of the department of finance determines that payment of mandatory fees or charges for connecting to the county sanitary sewer system, according to the procedures described in other parts of this article will pose an undue economic hardship on an applicant, a special authorization payment plan is permitted. Under the special authorization plan the applicant's total cost for connecting to the sanitary sewer system is paid in four annual installments with one-fourth paid initially, and the remaining principal amount being divided into not more than three equal annual installments maturing one, two, and three years, respectively, from the date of the initial payment. Documents will be executed to evidence this payment plan, a lien will be filed on the property served, and the outstanding balance shall bear interest at the rate charged on unpaid state and county taxes at the time the agreement is entered into. Said evidence of indebtedness shall be negotiable in form, and Fulton County shall reserve the right to transfer and assign such indebtedness to third parties.
