§ 82-148. Use of revenues collected.

  • The revenue received from the collection of such charges, together with all other revenue derived from the operation of the sewerage system of the county shall, except as hereinafter provided, be deposited and credited to the "Fulton County Water and Sewerage System Revenue Fund," and shall be used to defray:

    (1)

    First, the operation and maintenance costs of the sewerage system, and incidental expenses connected therewith.

    (2)

    Second, to pay debt requirements on revenue bonds issued to provide funds for the improvement, repair, and extension of the sewerage system and to provide necessary reserves for debt service.

    (3)

    Third, to pay for facilities and appurtenances used in connection with the operation of said system, to acquire necessary easements or the purchase of land, and to provide funds for the necessary reserves and improvements.

    (4)

    Such revenues shall not be used for the construction of sewers that are project improvements which shall be paid for by assessment against abutting landowners, or as otherwise provided herein.

    (5)

    Revenues received as a result of repayment or recapture of funds extended by the "Fulton County Water and Sewer Renewal and Extension Fund" shall be deposited and credited to the "Fulton County Sewer System Renewal and Extension Fund."
