§ 82-56. Use of water without permit.

  • It shall be unlawful for any owner or tenant to supply water to any other property, person, or user, from the pipes or meters serving water from the system, or to use water from any such water pipe, meter, hydrant, or other device or fixture through which county water may be drawn or used, without a permit from Fulton County. No person shall turn water off or on from any county water pipeline or related appurtenance unless the person has permission from an authorized representative of Fulton County. It shall be unlawful for any person to take or use water from any fire plug, hydrant, valve, pipe, other device or fixture, opening or connection of the system, or to open any plug, hydrant, valve, pipe, or other fixture for the purpose of taking or using the water, unless the person shall have permission from the department of water resources, or is an authorized representative of Fulton County and is acting in the discharge of his duty as such. No person to whom a permit is issued for the use of water for any purpose whatever, including construction purposes, tamping, irrigating, testing, flushing, and the like, shall use or consent to the use of water not authorized by permit from Fulton County.
