§ 6-218. Period for acquisition of license; opening of business.

  • (a)

    All licenses must be secured from the police department not later than 60 days from the date of the approval of the application, and if not so secured, the license will be void. No refund of the license fee will be made to the applicant.

    (b)

    All licensees hereunder must, within six months after the approval of said license, open for business the establishment referred to in the application and license, and begin the sale of the product or products authorized by the said license. Failure to open the establishment and begin the sale as referred to above within the six-month period will serve as automatic forfeiture and cancellation of the license, and no refund of license fee will be made to the license holder.
